Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your town and street, so the request reaches a company that works there and knows which state's rules apply
- Your radon number, if you have one, and whether it came from a store kit or a professional monitor
- The foundation: full basement, partial basement, crawl space, slab, or a combination
- Whether the basement is finished and whether the house has a passive radon pipe
- For a sale, the inspection deadline and the closing date
